Primăria Satu Mare

On Saturday, the 4th of October 2008, the European Commission Roadshow was present in Satu Mare Municipality in order to inform the people from Satu Mare about the rights that they beneficiate of as European citizens.

Satu Mare Municipality City Hall has the pleasure to invite the citizens to participate at the activities which will take place with the occasion of the presence of the European Commission Road-show in our municipality. The event will take place on Saturday, the 4th of October 2008, between 10.00-18.00 hours in the October 25 Square.

On the 19th of September 2008 took place in Dusseldorf, Germany, a work meeting for the RegGov project financed by the URBACT II Operational Programme with the representatives of all the 11 cities involved in the project, the last administrative, organizational and financial issues for sending the final application being discussed with this occasion.
This meeting was followed on the 22nd and 23rd of September by an intake visit of the expert for the RegGov project, Mr. David Froessler, in the Satu Mare City.

In the period 14th -26th of July 2008, five students from the “Mihai Eminescu” National High-school (Pop Flavia, Pop Alecsandra, Lupşa Cristina, Miclăuş Flaviu and Matus Adrian) accompanied by Laşan Nicoleta, information coordinator at the Europa Information Center Satu Mare, participated at the „POMOST” International Course in English Language and American culture.

On Friday, 9^th of May 2008, the Europa Information Center celebrated Europe’s Day.

In the period 7th-11th of April 2008, the information coordinators from the Europa Information Center Satu Mare, Laşan Nicoleta and Szabó Kinga-Júlia, held courses at three high-schools in Satu Mare.

On the 19^th of December 2007 at the Satu Mare Municipality took place the county phase of „The most informed European citizen” contest, contest which was organized by the Europa Information Center Satu Mare’s coordinators.

In the period 15th -16th of November 2007, the Europa Information Center Satu Mare realized a campaign for promoting the elections for the European Parliament. The campaign focused on high-school teenagers who have the right to vote and mainly aimed at informing this target group on the importance of the euro-parliamentary elections.

In the period 7^th -9^th of November 2007 the closure meeting of the projects funded through the EUROPA FUND 2006 took place, and at this meeting participated representatives of 26 different projects from the country, financed by this fund. At the event a representative of the Europa Information Center was also invited to attend.

In the framework of the VIII edition of the Festival of your chances organized as well in Satu Mare with the occasion of the Week of Permanent Education in Romania, the Bureau of European Integration and the Europa Information Center from the Satu Mare Municipality Mayoralty organized experimental courses for promoting the European values.

In the period 26th -31st of October 2007, the Europa Information Center Satu Mare organized the contest „The most informed European citizen”, contest which is part of the Campaign for promoting the Europa Information Center among the pupils with ages between 12 and 15 years.

With the occasion of the European Local Democracy Week, the European Information Center realized a poll among the citizens to determine...

During the 15th-22^nd of October 2007 the European Information Center Satu Mare and the Satu Mare Mayoralty organized the European Local Democracy Week.

The mayors and vice-mayors from the seven European countries and those from the three cities twinned with Satu Mare participated at the meeting which had as a theme “Cooperation of border towns from Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Ukraine and Hungary”, which took part in the White Saloon of the Dacia Complex.

Monday, 22nd of October 2007, the manifestations related to the handing by the president of Prize Award Commission of the Council of Europe, Guy Lengagne, of the Flag of Honour awarded to the Satu Mare Municipality took place.

The manifestations started at 10.30, in the Council’s Session Hall of the Satu Mare Municipality, where the residents of the Holland twin town Zutphen, Evelien van Nus-Nekkers and Gijs van Nus, received the diplomas of citizens of honour of Satu Mare.
