Campaign for promoting the euro-parliamentary elections

In the period 15th -16th of November 2007, the Europa Information Center Satu Mare realized a campaign for promoting the elections for the European Parliament. The campaign focused on high-school teenagers who have the right to vote and mainly aimed at informing this target group on the importance of the euro-parliamentary elections.
In this sense, two finishing classes from each of the following high-schools located in Satu Mare have been visited: National High-school „Ioan Slavici”, National High-school „Kolcsey Ferenc” and National High-school „Mihai Eminescu”. The teenagers received information regarding the way in which the European Parliament is organized and functions and regarding the way in which are organized the elections to elect the deputies who represent the member states’ citizens in this European institutions.
Promotional materials on the European Parliament and the European elections (books, brochures, retractable ball-point pens, badges, puzzles, agendas, DVDs) were distributed to the participants. All these promotional materials were put at the disposal of the Europa Information Center by the Information Bureau of the European Parliament from Bucharest.
