Welcome to Satu Mare

On Monday, the 17th of November 2008, as part of the Global Education Week organized this year by the Satu Mare County School Inspectorate under the generic „Beginning without end”, students, members of the Students Council, visited the Europa Information Center.

On Saturday, the 4th of October 2008, the European Commission Roadshow was present in Satu Mare Municipality in order to inform the people from Satu Mare about the rights that they beneficiate of as European citizens.

Satu Mare Municipality City Hall has been accepted in the course of this week as partner in the project Regional Governance of Sustainable Integrated Development of Deprived Areas (RegGov), project financed through the European programme URBACT II.

On Friday, 9^th of May 2008, the Europa Information Center celebrated Europe’s Day.

In the period 7th-11th of April 2008, the information coordinators from the Europa Information Center Satu Mare, Laşan Nicoleta and Szabó Kinga-Júlia, held courses at three high-schools in Satu Mare.

On the 19^th of December 2007 at the Satu Mare Municipality took place the county phase of „The most informed European citizen” contest, contest which was organized by the Europa Information Center Satu Mare’s coordinators.

In the period 15th -16th of November 2007, the Europa Information Center Satu Mare realized a campaign for promoting the elections for the European Parliament. The campaign focused on high-school teenagers who have the right to vote and mainly aimed at informing this target group on the importance of the euro-parliamentary elections.

In the period 7^th -9^th of November 2007 the closure meeting of the projects funded through the EUROPA FUND 2006 took place, and at this meeting participated representatives of 26 different projects from the country, financed by this fund. At the event a representative of the Europa Information Center was also invited to attend.

In the framework of the VIII edition of the Festival of your chances organized as well in Satu Mare with the occasion of the Week of Permanent Education in Romania, the Bureau of European Integration and the Europa Information Center from the Satu Mare Municipality Mayoralty organized experimental courses for promoting the European values.

In the period 26th -31st of October 2007, the Europa Information Center Satu Mare organized the contest „The most informed European citizen”, contest which is part of the Campaign for promoting the Europa Information Center among the pupils with ages between 12 and 15 years.
