The mayors and vice-mayors from the seven European countries and those from the three cities twinned with Satu Mare participated at the meeting which had as a theme “Cooperation of border towns from Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Ukraine and Hungary”, which took part in the White Saloon of the Dacia Complex.

Monday, 22nd of October 2007, the manifestations related to the handing by the president of Prize Award Commission of the Council of Europe, Guy Lengagne, of the Flag of Honour awarded to the Satu Mare Municipality took place.

The manifestations started at 10.30, in the Council’s Session Hall of the Satu Mare Municipality, where the residents of the Holland twin town Zutphen, Evelien van Nus-Nekkers and Gijs van Nus, received the diplomas of citizens of honour of Satu Mare.

On the 14^-th of June 2007, during the “European local education” information campaign, CIE info officers organized a meeting with the representative members of the Satu Mare Physic Handicaps Association.

Last Saturday, our city commemorated the “International Holocaust Day”. It was held at the Holocaust Victim’s Monument located in the courtyard of the Decebal Str. Synagogue from Satu Mare.
