Monday, 22nd of October 2007, the manifestations related to the handing by the president of Prize Award Commission of the Council of Europe, Guy Lengagne, of the Flag of Honour awarded to the Satu Mare Municipality took place. At the entire programme of the manifestations, took part the mayors and vice-mayors from the seven European countries, local councilmen from Satu Mare, chiefs of services from the Mayoralty of Satu Mare, in front with the mayor Iuliu Ilyes, chiefs of institutions.
The honour guests of the event were the French Member of the Parliament, Mr. Guy Lengagne, Mr. Thomas Pink – mayor of the twin town Wolfenbüttel (Germany), Mr. Adrian van Oosten – vice-mayor of the twin town Zutphen (Holland), Mrs. Csabai Lászlóné – mayor of the twin town Nyiregyháza (Ungaria), as well as mayors and vice-mayors of the towns Rzeszów (Poland), Košice (Slovakia), Ujgorod and Beregovo (Ukraine), Miskolc (Hungary), and Baia Mare (Romania).
