Monday, 22nd of October 2007, the manifestations related to the handing by the president of Prize Award Commission of the Council of Europe, Guy Lengagne, of the Flag of Honour awarded to the Satu Mare Municipality took place.

The manifestations started at 10.30, in the Council’s Session Hall of the Satu Mare Municipality, where the residents of the Holland twin town Zutphen, Evelien van Nus-Nekkers and Gijs van Nus, received the diplomas of citizens of honour of Satu Mare.

The Satu Mare North Theatre announces its second premiere of this theatrical season. On Sunday, October 29th, the following play will take place at the Great Hall: ”Frankie’s okay, Peggy’s doin’ all right, and everything’s as good as it can get” by Martin Cicvak, directed by Ovidiu Caiţa, scenography - Cristian Gătina.

The musical comedy “Wedding With Trouble” by Werner Salm and Hugo Rendler will be preformed during 16-20 of October in Medias, Bistrita, Viseu de Sus si Satu Mare within the framework of the tour organized by the German State Theatre of Timisoara (TGST) in Transylvania.

North Theatre of Satu Mare opens the theatrical season 2006 – 2007 with the premiere ZIS ŞI... FĂCUT (SAID AND... DONE), a representation of parody and pantomime on texts of Romanian light music under the sign of the healthy laughter.

Yesterday, the Satu Mare Art Museum hosted the painting gallery belonging to the fine arts painter Dobay Zsuzsa. The event was organized by the Satu Mare County Museum – the Arts department, Koncz Gallery from the city of Debrecen (Hungary), and the Hungarian Culture Society from Transylvania.

“Council of Europe European Diploma 2006” for the Municipality of Satu Mare had been officially handed over to the Mayor of Satu Mare, Mr Iuliu Ilyes, present at the ceremony of the European prize award.

On Friday, June 6^th, the taxi company Prima celebrated three years since it began it’s activities. For this reason, the owner of the company, Mr. Szabo Oszkar, wishes to announce that there will be an extraordinary concert for this occasion, including B.U.G. Mafia, Hi Q şi LL Junior (Hungary) as of 9:00 pm.

Today, 6:30 pm, at the Philharmonic Hall, the lead singer will be Liana Podlovschi, a Satu Mare native, and the wife of a famous violinist.

Yesterday, at the Poesis Multicultural Center in Satu Mare, took place the launching of two books, signed by Cornel Udrea. More precisely, the volumes “Aminteste-mi sa uit/Remind me to forget” – theatre, and “Destainuirile fazanului Rudolf/The confessions of Rudolf, the peacock” – humorous prose.

Between the 15^th and 17^th of June, the Nr. 6 Kindergarten from Satu Mare, with extended program, will be involved in an exchange of experience with Kincskereso Ovoda, from Nyiregyhaza (Hungary).

Yesterday also “entered the scene” the Hungarian branch of the North Theatre in Carei, at 6:00 pm, with the play “Márton partjelzó fázik”, by Hamvai Kornel, and directed by Arkosi Arpad

Yesterday afternoon, the poet Ion Vadan had the unique pleasure of seeing his own work, his poetry, presented on stage in a romantic ambiance “The Art of Luring”, in the inner court of the Museum of Arts.

Preceeded by a short official moment, in which Mayor Iuliu Ilyes made the opening remarks, the first invited performance rose up to the expectations. The presentation “The Merry Wives of Windsor” brought by the Oradea Theater, directed by Victor Ioan Frunza, and Adriana Grand as scenographer, made us laugh to the tears and wonder how up-to-date Shakespeare can actually be
