Twinned Cities

The mayors and vice-mayors from the seven European countries and those from the three cities twinned with Satu Mare participated at the meeting which had as a theme “Cooperation of border towns from Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Ukraine and Hungary”, which took part in the White Saloon of the Dacia Complex.

Monday, 22nd of October 2007, the manifestations related to the handing by the president of Prize Award Commission of the Council of Europe, Guy Lengagne, of the Flag of Honour awarded to the Satu Mare Municipality took place.

The manifestations started at 10.30, in the Council’s Session Hall of the Satu Mare Municipality, where the residents of the Holland twin town Zutphen, Evelien van Nus-Nekkers and Gijs van Nus, received the diplomas of citizens of honour of Satu Mare.

We have the great pleasure of inviting you to participate in the festive event dedicated to the official handing of the Flag of Honour, awarded to the Municipality of Satu Mare by the Council of Europe, this year. The Municipality of Satu Mare is honoured to have again guests from our twin city Zutphen, at the XI-th edition of the Satu Mare City Days Celebration.

A group of young musicians, members of the youth philharmonic orchestra of our twin city Zutphen (Holland) will visit Satu Mare, on the first week of May 2007 (1-st - 6-th of May 2007).
